Thirty years ago in 1992 I was working as an independent graphic designer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada while taking Graphic Design at Dawson College.

One day a good friend invited me out for cafe and he informed me that he had my future in his back-pack. Much to my surprise he took out a book that was extremely thick and on the front was written “Introduction To HTML”.

At that point there was no such thing as a web designer let alone a web developer and he explained to me that this would be the future for everything to come in the next 30+ years and was he ever right.

I started to teach myself HTML and found that not only was I good at it but that I actually enjoyed the early HTML Coding experience.

I was able to now create my own websites for myself and other businesses which is where I got my start in the industry. The friend who introduced me to HTML was the same individual that got me my first contracts with various businesses across Canada.

It took a couple of years for the concept of businesses having a website to become popular and then the norm and by then I was already very proficient at HTML and had started branching out into other types of web technology.

I have seen the web design and development industry quickly grow and evolve into what we have today and there is still so much to learn and explore in regards to this burgeoning industry.

My clients can see how impassioned I am with working in this industry and it comes across in my client relations and work performance.
